Multi-talented Jazz Guitarist Releases New Album
‘We Dance At Midnight’ is the totally delightful new release from Contemporary Jazz Guitarist Leon Neal.
Out now on Nealsight Records, it is a splendid collection of groove drenched originals spliced tastily with several well-chosen covers, the most notable of which are a picture perfect rendition of the Isley Brothers smash, ‘For The Love Of You’, and an intense re-imagining of Chick Corea’s seminal ‘Spain’.
Leon Neal is a soulful, multi-talented jazz guitarist, vocalist and composer. His insatiable curiosity and keen interest in the music industry led him in a direction many musicians might consider unreasonable, if not impossible, for a performer.
Leon Neal’s love for music started from the age of 5, when his grandfather gave him his first guitar, since then his guitar has been part of Leon’s life. His first album ‘My Soul Speaks’ received international acclaim and support from around the world, countries such as Japan, Netherlands, Thailand, UK, Argentina and more had picked up his album and Leon was a hit on radio across these countries.
His latest album ‘We Dance At Midnight’ continues the smooth soulful sounding Jazz Funk artistry that is Leon Neal at his best! The New Album showcases his brilliant soulful guitar approach across a total of 10 tracks. He also managed all the arrangements of the instrumentation on the entire project as well as his conception and graphic design for the latest project.
This is a Super Smooth Album and could be easily described as an ideal album for those cozy winter nights sitting in front of open fire with someone special or great friends. It’s a sensational album and some of stand out tracks are ‘Bounce’ and ‘I Can’t Help It’ which was written by Stevie Wonder and Susaye Green, a track released by Michael Jackson from the Multi-Million Selling Album ‘Off The Wall’.
Always a perfectionist who loves his guitar, Leon continues to increase his expertise as a jazz guitarist, to the delight of his many followers. Leon, once again is expanding his musical artistic talents even further, he also studies classical voice under Barbara Urbine-Reidy and, in this genre, has developed into an extraordinary baritone singer with proficiency in interpreting classical American art songs, Broadway favorites, and sea chanteys.
In support of his high artistic standards, Leon believes that, “It is very important that we strive for excellence and then manifest that excellence through our performance.”
‘We Dance At Midnight’ is dazzling Smooth Jazz Album and Leon Neal is a brilliant guitarist, this combined will no doubt have more new fans across the world discovering this amazing artist.
